A11 lane reopens following car fire closure




A lane on a section of the A11 has reopened following following a car fire which cause diversions.

Fire crews from Wymondham and Earlham attended the scene, southbound between the B1172 (Spooner Row) and the B1077 (Attleborough) just after 12.20pm.

The incident was closed with the crews having put out the fire at 12.52pm.

Traffic in the area is very slow and it has been advised to take that into account when planning your journey.

Due to the vehicle needing to be removed and damage on the road surface needing to be assessed, National Highways said a diversion route has been put in place.

But now, one lane has reopened and there are reports of slow traffic going through the area.
