Businessman Gez Chetal joins forces with town council to launch Attleborough SME Community Business Awards
A successful businessman who is in charge of an Attleborough hotel has set up town business awards.
Gez Chetal, who runs Sherbourne House Hotel in Norwich Road, has joined forces with the town council to launch the Attleborough SME Community Business Awards.
The multi award-winning hotelier, who has founded business awards in Thetford and Peterborough, said he wanted to recognise the work of small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the town.
He said: “It is a valuable mechanism to demonstrate that small and medium sized independents are the backbone of our community.
“A great many businesses also consistently contribute to community groups, residents and initiatives in the town.”
“An awards evening is planned for October 24 and will be a recognition of all the small and medium sized business community in Attleborough, whilst highlighting their valued contribution that is made to keep the town a great place to live and also to trade in.”
There will be seven categories to honour the hard work of each winner with sponsorship attributed to each award and the events as a whole.
Mr Chetal will also be hosting a cheese and wine evening at the Sherbourne Hotel on March 21, from 6pm, for small and medium independent businesses owners to network.
